Stewardship, Resilience and the Spirit of Progress

Message from Serge Robin
CEO, Arab Bank Switzerland

There are moments in the life of an institution when tradition and change don’t stand opposite each other – they stand side by side. The Bol d’Or du Léman is one of those moments for Arab Bank Switzerland. It reminds us that excellence is not a static ideal, but a living force that must be tended to, renewed, and passed on.

Since 1962, our bank, funded in Switzerland, has become a bridge between cultures, disciplines and generations. We have learned to steer through calm waters and through storms, guided by a belief that resilience is built not only on experience, but on curiosity, adaptability and the quiet confidence that comes from knowing who we are.

This regatta captures that spirit perfectly. It speaks of skill and precision, yes – but also of courage. The courage to set a course when the horizon is unclear. The courage to trust the team beside you. The courage to hold tradition in one hand while reaching, unafraid, for what comes next.

This year, as we celebrate the Bol d’Or du Léman, we also honour the sailors, organisers, partners and passionate spectators who transform this race into a testament of dedication and human ambition.

And so, as the boats trace their arcs across Lake Geneva, I invite us all to reflect on what truly carries us forward. Not the wind alone, but the values that have shaped our identity – precision, integrity, and the belief that our greatest achievements are yet to come.

On behalf of Arab Bank Switzerland, I wish you a magnificent regatta – memorable, inspiring, and worthy of the legacy we continue to build together.
